About the place
The Kherson regional federation of traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do was established in 1999. The Federation is a collective member of the IOGKF of Ukraine (IOGKF chief instructor Morio Higaon 10 dan). The official representative of the IOGKF in Ukraine is Denis Vasilchuk 5 dan. Since 2000, the HOFTOG is headed by Yakovlev Artem Nikolaevich 3 dan. Every year, the federation holds open tournaments where athletes of different styles and areas practicing full contact work take part.
The basis of Goju Ryu is made up of traditional classes in general and individual groups, with practicing the techniques of a real fight and upbringing of high moral qualities based on the philosophy of oriental martial arts. In groups learning the traditional Goju-ryu system, the practitioners' age is unlimited. Recommended younger age - from 7 years.
