Babyn Yar is a place that gained worldwide fame as a symbol of the Holocaust tragedy and became one of the largest international cemeteries in Ukraine. During the years of Nazi occupation, more than 100,000 innocent people were killed on this site: Soviet citizens, prisoners of war, partisans, underground fighters, hostages, members of the OUN, as well as people suffering from mental disorders. This horrifying fact reminds us of the scale and brutality of Nazi crimes, which have become part of global memory. Babyn Yar is not only a place of remembrance but also a symbol of the fight against hatred and intolerance.
