About the Game. Matches take place on fields known as courts. The length of the court is 23 m 77 cm, and the width can vary. For singles matches, the width is 8 m 23 cm, and for doubles (2 vs. 2 players) it is 10 m 97 cm. Courts can be indoor (played year-round) or outdoor (for play in warm weather). The court is divided in half by a special net (the height of the top of the net is 10.07 m) and has specific markings. Modern tennis rackets weigh between 310 g (lightweight) and 340 g (heavy). Each player can choose a racket that suits them. The surface of the court can vary – clay, grass, hard (hardcourt), taraflex (patented technology), carpet, synthetic grass, or artificial clay. The color of the court can also vary – from green to the color of burnt clay. To learn to play tennis well, it is recommended to practice on courts with different surfaces, as the surface affects the dynamics of the game.
In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, there are outdoor facilities where anyone can play tennis. The advantage of such facilities is that they are free. However, to practice tennis comfortably and correctly, it is recommended to train on courts with good surfaces, under the guidance of coaches, and using professional tennis equipment. It is advisable to practice in sports clubs that have all the conditions for play.

Tennis club "Tennispark"
«Tennispark» is located in Muromets Park. In 2020, the club was accredited by the Tennis Federation of Ukraine. The club hosts Ukrainian and international competitions (both for children and adults). "Tennispark" has 12 certified courts with hard and clay surfaces. In the winter season, 8 courts are available—4 indoor courts in a stationary hall (hard) and 4 indoor courts under a dome (clay). In the summer, all courts are open—8 outdoor courts (clay) and 4 indoor courts in a stationary hall with ventilation (hard). "Tennispark" has its own Tennis School, training children from 4 to 17 years old, using modern international tennis programs.

Ukrainian tennis center "Viccourt"
At the Ukrainian Tennis Center "Viccourt", there are both outdoor and indoor courts with excellent surfaces. The indoor courts are well-lit and maintain a comfortable temperature in both winter and summer, allowing tennis to be played year-round. At the center, you can order individual training with a coach or enroll in the "Tennis Express" program (designed for players of all ages). The UTC "Viccourt" has its own tennis school where children as young as 5 can participate. Students of the school compete in tennis tournaments and earn prizes. Tennis courts in Podil
In the historical center of Kyiv (Podil), there are tennis courts known as "Courts on Podil". The courts are certified by the Tennis Federation of Ukraine and meet all international standards. Located in the heart of Kyiv, in Pechersk, is the First Ukrainian Tennis Academy "UTA". The Academy features 3 modern tennis courts equipped with the latest technologies that meet all international court standards. The Academy trains both adults and children aged 4 to 14. Both adults and children train on the courts. The center hosts a Children's Tennis Club "Orange", where children start learning tennis from a young age.
