Palace of Sports "Friendship"

The Palace of Sports "Friendship" (Ukrainian Palace of Sports "Friendship") is a sports and concert complex in Donetsk (Ukraine). Capacity 4130 spectators. The home arena of Ukrainian teams - the Donbass hockey club and the Donetsk basketball club.

"Friendship" is one of the most important sports facilities in the city, its first priority is the development of hockey in the region. After the opening of the Sports Palace, a children's hockey school of the regional trade union hockey club operated at its base for 16 years. The section involved more than five hundred children.

The Friendship Ice Sports Palace, designed for 3,500 spectators, was built in 1975 according to a standard project of 1956. As part of this sport event, a hockey match was organized between the teams from Moscow - “Wings of the Soviets” and “Dynamo”. And next year the Palace was put into operation. New refrigeration units were installed in it.
