Wake is a wake wave remaining behind the boat. A wakeboard is a board on which you can slide along this wave. Wakeboarding is one of the most actively developing water sports and recreation in the world.
There are two disciplines in wakeboarding: wakeboard-boat and wakeboard-electric (cable wakeboarding).
In wakeboarding, an athlete rides a boat, holding his halyard and performing various tricks with the help of a wave and springboards. In cable wakeboarding, the movement of an athlete in the water occurs with the help of a mechanized cable-towing installation, replacing the boat. There are ring installations, where movement occurs in a circle (wakeparks) and reverse installations, where movement of an athlete is possible only forward and backward.
