Club of mixed martial arts "Nikolaev" (MMA CLUB NIKOLAEV) was created in 2010 for the development and popularization of mixed martial arts of the MMA in Nikolaev and Nikolaev region.
MMA (mixed martial arts) - a kind of martial arts combining various techniques of shock disciplines (boxing, kickboxing, muay-tai, karate, wushu-sanda, etc.) and wrestling directions (judo, sambo, jiu-jitsu, greplling, free and Greco-Roman wrestling, etc.). The mixed martial arts of the MMA in April 2013 recognized in Ukraine as the official sport.
Directions developed at the club - MMA, greplling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing and muay-tai.
MMA CLUB NIKOLAEV develops and promotes MMA in the Nikolaev region and is a regional representative of the Federation of mixed martial arts of the MMA of Ukraine.
For the whole couple of years of its history, the club's men have won a number of victories at major all-Ukrainian tournaments in the MMA, greplling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
In March, the championship of Ukraine was held in 2013 on the MMA, which was attended by a team of the Nikolaev region, successfully carrying out three medals (gold, silver, bronze).
Nikolaevets Stanislav Kutin won the bronze medal at the European Championship 2013 for the mixed martial arts of the MMA (June 2013, Kiev).
In October 2013, in St Petersburg in the first official MMA World Championship, Stanislav Kutin, a Nikolayev fighter, was also a member of the national team of Ukraine.
President and head coach of MMA CLUB NIKOLAEV Oleg Shevchenko is one of the coaches of the national team of Ukraine on mixed martial arts of the MMA.
The team of 2013-2014 includes members of the club Stanislav Kutin, Maxim Mazenko. Nikolai Sinyakov, Oleg Obrovko and Andrei Mavrodiyev.
The team is taking part in the professional OPLOT Fighting Championship, and our Oleg Obrevko is the vice-champion of Ukraine for this version.
Regularly held the club championship MMA CLUB FIGHTER, which is attended by novice fighters from various club teams. The tournament is the starting point for further growth of skill and raising the level of the club's fighters.
The club actively develops the direction of greplling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
The qualifications of the blue BJJ belt are Oleg Shevchenko, Vladislav Lyutov and Dmitry Demchik.
BJJ purple belt from Gracie jiu-jitsu from the club's trainer Vladimir Marchuk.
The Black BJJ (first in Ukraine) has Pavel Stolyar, currently residing and training in Australia. Pavel visits annually in Nikolaev and conducts seminars and certifications.
Based on the MMA CLUB NIKOLAEV, the association of Brazilian jiu-jitsu BLACK SEA TEAM has been established, uniting fans of this kind of martial arts in Nikolaev and the south of Ukraine.
